When school is out- send your kids to our farm camps! They will be kept busy with tons of activities and fresh air! We can't promise they won't be begging for a pet goat or chicken. Space is limited and spots will be filled quickly. |
The most rewarding start to the Summer is volunteering as a camp counselor and being an amazing role model to our youth! Our counselors are all volunteer based and we can sign off on hours for the 2024 school year! You must be 15 years or older and have a passion for leading youth and love being outside.

Basic information about camp:
- The camp leader/director is Kat Groiss, sole owner and operator of KOTA, LLC. There are assistants and camp counselors that help to lead activities and small groups. Our staff to child ratio is 1:7 so we always have plenty of supervision and helping hands.
- Just like everything else in this world, the cost of camp has increased due to changes with rent and supplies. We want to be able to remain affordable and still pride ourselves with being one of the most affordable camps but given all the materials we use and other monetary increases, we needed to adjust camp prices.
- Our ages of campers are designed specifically for kids that are 5-10 years old and that are comfortable being away from their caregivers and have gained a sense of independence. We split our campers into 2 groups by age during our smaller group activities (games, art, science) and we come together for larger group activities (morning warm ups, snack and lunch). If you feel your camper that is older than 10 but would still feel they are appropriate for our camp, I am always happy to make accommodations - just email me!
- Our camp is 100 percent outside with one screened in porch that provides shelter in case it storms. With being outside in the heat, Sending in filled water bottles is a must (we will have a water refill station). Putting sunscreen and bug spray on your kids prior to camp is highly encouraged. Close toed shoes and play clothes are a must. We are on a farm and our play area is in the woods, so your child may get dirty.
- We have plenty of water breaks during camp, a snack break and we end camp with lunch.
- Just like any other camp in Mount Pleasant, our camps are non-refundable. We get that things happen and plans change so if you can no longer attend, you are welcome to find a friend to take your spot and let us know of the change. If there is an inclement in weather where we need to cancel camp, you will be refunded.
- While KOTA is an all inclusive camp, we have limited availability/spots for high needs campers. So that we can accommodate everyone appropriately and safely, please list any exceptional needs that your camper has (ie; allergies, behavior, disabilities- physical, social and emotional). Our goal is to always keep our campers safe which means we need to make sure we have the correct accommodations. If you have any questions, please make sure to email me and reach out to me directly.
